Berry Bliss Breakfast Açaí Bowl Recipe
I don’t know about you, but enjoying a delicious and nourishing Açaí bowl always makes me feel like I’m lounging on the beaches of Hawaii with the wind blowing in my hair and the salt water on my skin...it practically feels like I’m on vacation instead of rolling out of bed aftersnoozing my alarm three times!
Now, thankfully you don’t have to jet off to Hawaii to get your hands on an epic Açaí bowl that brightens your morning - that’s what Sambazon is here for! Speaking of epic, I decided to create a homemade berry bliss Açaí bowl to share with you that’s bursting with immune supporting ingredients and antioxidant super powers to help you start your morning with a blissful breakfast...I’ll take two, please!!
No matter the day, I always aim to start my morning in a state of calm and peace. This usually includes some meditation, journaling, yoga, and an Açaì bowl! Sambazon’s Pure Unsweetened Açaí packet is the perfect immune-boosting superfood base for this bowl. It has no added sugar but it is definitely not lacking in powerful antioxidants and healthy omega fatty acids. Add a frozen banana to the mix and we’ve got ourselves a creamy and delicious start to our bowl!
When it comes to fruit, every variety is abundant in antioxidants and phytochemicals that help our bodies fight against free radicals and power us through the day with energy. If you’re trying to pack a punch with the vitamin C and antioxidants here, these two super fruits are a definite must!
Next up, we’re adding one of my favorite smoothie bowl ingredients - avocado! Nope, it’s not just meant for toast and eggs! Avocados will make this bowl extra creamy and provide you with a beautiful source of healthy fats to keep you satiated through the morning.
Once we have our fruit base, it’s time to add some superfoods! I love including goji berries in my daily bowls - they pack a punch with their tart flavor and are known to support immune system function. Camu camu powder is an INSANE superfood boasting high Vitamin C content! It definitely got invited to join this Açaí party. The last superfood powder included is ashwagandha - a popular adaptogenic herb.
A little bit of local honey is the perfect sweet touch It can help to soothe a sore throat if you’re starting to get a tickle. Once you’ve added your liquid of choice (I recommend an unsweetened plant milk), you’re ready to blend!!
I top this berry bliss bowl off with some kiwi (another great source of vitamin C), a handful of blueberries, cacao nibs (I love chocolate in everything AND cacao is an antioxidant powerhouse), almond butter, and bee pollen.
