2 oz Bourbon
1 tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice
2 tsp Blackberry Simple Syrup
1/3 c Sambazon Amazon Energy, chilled
5 Frozen Blackberries
In a shaker, combine bourbon, lemon juice, blackberry syrup, Sambazon Amazon Energy and ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into a tall glass over frozen berries (instead of ice) and garnish with mint, if desired.
Blackberry Simple Syrup
12 ounces fresh or thawed blackberries
3/4 c water
1/4 c raw sugar or agave
In a medium saucepan, combine blackberries, water and sugar (or agave). Bring to a boil over medium heat, reduce to a simmer and cook, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes. Stir occasionally and mash the berries. Remove from heat and strain.
Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
